Firstly, Shipbook has been on my radar since my days at TinyTap, and today Founder of Fusion Productions - I continue to use Shipbook. I was in search of a simple remote logging solution – Shipbook stood out as the sole contender that precisely aligned with my needs. Briefly looked at other solutions; they appeared overly complex and pricier compared to Shipbook. The complexity and higher costs of other options didn't draw me in, leading me to not investigate them thoroughly. My preference leaned towards an uncomplicated, efficient solution.”

A small percentage of issues in our app definitely couldn't have been solved without remote logging. Especially situations where users report issues that don't crash and are hard to reproduce. Remote logging is the only feasible solution for professional and efficient debugging.

In this scenario, I encountered a unique crash that posed significant challenges for diagnosis and resolution. Normally, I rely on Firebase Crashlytics as my primary tool for capturing and analyzing app crashes, but in this case, it failed to record the event. I attempted to reproduce the actions leading to the issue. Still, Apple TestFlight did not recognize the crash either, falling short by not providing any logs of user actions leading up to the event.

This is where the value of Shipbook's remote user logging became apparent to me. Shipbook enabled me to thoroughly investigate the session of user actions that led to the crash, providing a level of detail not available through other tools. This deep dive into the user's actions helped in identifying and fixing potential problems before they could escalate. Shipbook has become an indispensable part of my toolkit for maintaining and enhancing the stability and user experience of the app

One more example of an issue- In my beta testing group, users were upgrading from a previous version but the import progress was falling causing a bad user experience. Using shipbook, I was able to plant strategic logs, and locate and debug the issues that arose without hassling the users.

In another matter, I really appreciate the responsiveness of the Shipbook development team and support.

Our primary, client facing, app is our Waste Tracker Android app. The app is fairly complex, with many integrations, and as such, remote logs are a complete necessity to understand what is happening at the moment.

Our app is for iOS that provides a simplified and enjoyable listening experience.
